Linear Static Analysis

Linear static analyses are performed under the assumption that loads applied to the structure do not vary over time, the material behaves elastically, and the relationship between load and displacement is linear.

Nonlinear Static Analysis

Nonlinear static analyses are used in cases where structures experience large deformations under certain loads, where linear elastic behavior is no longer sufficient, and where material nonlinearity—such as plastic or hyperelastic behavior—must be considered. These analyses also cover situations where contact interactions between components vary with loading.

Buckling Analysis

When structures are subjected to compressive loads, critical buckling forces and stresses are calculated as part of the analysis. This is especially important for long unsupported plates and stiffening elements, where critical buckling loads are determined and checked for compliance with the loading conditions.

Natural Frequency (Modal) Analysis

Modal analysis examines the dynamic behavior of systems by identifying the natural frequencies of a structure. It is used to prevent resonance and ensure the dynamic stability of the system.

Vibration Analysis

Vibration analyses are conducted to examine the dynamic behavior and vibration-induced durability of structures under environmental conditions or during operation within a specific frequency range. These analyses are performed in accordance with applicable standards—such as MIL-STD-810, ISO 16750, IEC 60068-2-6, DIN EN 61373, and ASTM D999—or based on defined test conditions, depending on the intended application of the structure.

Shock Analysis

Shock analysis examines scenarios where a structure is subjected to a sudden and high-magnitude load over a short period of time. It evaluates how the structure responds to unexpected impacts or loading events and assesses its structural integrity under these critical conditions.

Composite Analysis

Composite materials are formed by combining different constituent materials to create lightweight yet durable structures. Structural and thermal analyses are typically performed to assess the strength of components made from materials such as carbon fiber or glass fiber. These analyses evaluate how composite parts—modeled according to manufacturing methods—will behave under real-world conditions, using various failure theories.

Fatigue Analysis

Fatigue refers to the damage—such as cracking or fracture—that occurs in a material when loads of non-damaging magnitude are applied repeatedly over time. In fatigue and life assessments, S-N or E-N curves obtained from relevant material tests are used in conjunction with finite element analyses to estimate the total service life of the structure.

Thermal Stress Analysis

In thermal stress analyses, the temperature distribution obtained from thermal flow analyses is mapped onto the structure, and the effects of temperature changes on material strength are evaluated using the thermal properties of the material.
